thechairman45 vs. PresidentOfJelybeans was a YouTube Poop/Video tennis match that took place between December 6, 2009 and January 4, 2010. One of multiple "Robotnik" or otherwise The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog themed tennis matches to occur between the four-way collective of LieutenantGwo, thechairman45, pilli10 and PresidentOfJelybeans between 2009 and 2010, it was the first of two tennis encounters between these two players. LieutanentGwo had previously played PresidentOfJelybeans and thechairman45 before this exchange, thechairman45 had previously faced pilli10, and LieutanantGwo and pilli10 had previously faced each other before all of them attempted a 4-way in August 2010 that lasted six rounds. All sources added and remixed in this match all come from the above cartoon series with focus given to the above character in particular, continuing what was now close to a three-year tradition in tennis.
It was the seventh tennis match played by thechairman45 and the fifth tennis match played by PresidentOfJelybeans. A conventional story is told in the naming scheme between the rounds of this match, documenting an adventure where Robotnik embarks on a voyage by ship, encounters a storm, escapes it by building a "makeshift airplane", flies it to the moon and either abandons it to drift or misses his mark completely, becoming lost in deep space. While this match was never recorded on the YouChew forums in any form, it continues to survive intact on YouTube into the present day, and remains a popular match with all rounds having gained between 10 and 20 thousand views each. Due to the very linear nature at which the match progresses between round to round, with the pattern established in the serve never being deviated from nor altered by changes in editing intensity, it is considered to be one of the best beginner matches through which to introduce prospective new players to tennis. As such, it was one of the original points of entry for dani_phantump, for whom this was first complete tennis match seen.[1] This was among the handful of matches that received reference in the revised version of The Observational Guide to Video Tennis, which also named the matches GreatBritishTurd vs. AshcrementVII, BMATF vs. UncleChuckTH vs. Wikiwow, conradslater vs. Misselaineous10, MycroProcessor vs. GameBop and GreatBritishTurd vs. MycroProcessor[2], and was listed among the "Top 5 Good Tennis games to learn from" in the revised version of The Recreational Guide To Video Tennis, both published in October 2025.[3] Robotnik-oriented tennis staff member TheFXexpert considered the match a favorite, considering it in 2012 as among "the best robotnik tennises available".[4] It was first compiled into a single video on the YouWouldBeWelcome account in November 2022.
