While it is considered the spiritual successor to [[YTPMania]], YellowTealPurple focused on a much broader range of art, through videos, images, and more. As said in its introduction, it is "not [[youchew]]".

In its place were blanket terms related to "video art"/"video tennis"/etc. The age limit was set to 16+ sitewide; it originally was 13+ only for the YTP section but this was deemed unconstructive.

On July 25th, the site's age limit was once again increased to 18+ in the name of safety and responsibility. Unlike the previous increase, this came with no grandfathering in of underaged users who had signed up previously.
